Help My Dad Rebuild After

Losing Everything in a Fire

From Boo Boo’s daughter,
Tracey Wilson –

On Saturday night, tragedy struck when my dad, James Boo Boo Davis, lost his home to a devastating fire. By the grace of God, he made it out safely, but everything he owned was destroyed. He escaped with literally only the clothes on his back.

If you know my dad, you know he’s a man of incredible spirit and heart. A lifelong blues musician and storyteller, he’s touched countless lives through his music, his laughter, and his genuine kindness. He’s one of those people who can make a room light up with just a story or a song. Even standing outside the ashes of what was once his home, he said, “I’m just thankful to be alive and that’s the kind of man he is!!!! grateful, humble, and faithful even in the face of loss.

Right now, he’s starting over completely from scratch. He’s lost his instruments, personal memories, clothes, furniture, and everything that made his house a home. Our family is doing what we can to help him rebuild, but we could really use some support from the community that’s always loved him.

EVERY DONATION will go directly toward helping my dad get back on his feet and finding a new home, replacing essentials, and getting him the stability and comfort he deserves. If you can give, please do. And if you can’t, please lift him up in prayer and share this link so others can help.

We’re beyond thankful for the outpouring of love and support during this time. My dad has spent a lifetime giving his heart through his music and now, we’re hoping that same love comes back around to help him heal and rebuild.”
